As a Polaris intern, you’ll become part of a team that feeds off adventure and strives for excellence. You’ll be able to take your coursework and use it in value-added applications to determine tangible solutions that deliver real products over the course of the summer. You will gain valuable, on-the-job experience working with company leaders and industry experts and will have the opportunity to meet and work with interns from schools across the country.

Our summer internships are 12-week paid opportunities. Depending on the position, our interns are located in Roseau, MN; Medina/Plymouth, MN; Wyoming, MN; Osceola, WI; and Huntsville, AL. The goal of our internships is to hire into our Full-Time Rotational Development Programs; successful interns may receive an offer to join us full time following graduation.

ENGINEERING INTERN PROGRAM

Our Polaris Engineering Internship Program is an ideal way to gain hands on experience within product development engineering. Our 12-week program allows you to have exposure to multiple facets of engineering to help you develop and define core areas of interest and strengths. Intern assignments offer value-added deliverables that have a direct impact on developing new Polaris products. As a part of the internship, you may experience opportunities to wrench/work on vehicles, product benchmark, work with intellectual property, assist with project management, work with product safety, computer aided Engineering (CAE) or be involved with fabricating, testing, developing, designing, or validating powertrain, chassis or electrical components or product accessories.

We have three areas of focus:

Core Product Engineering – Internships within Core will allow you to build upon your skillsets by working with our product Chassis Groups (i.e. Snow, Off-Road, Indian, Slingshot), or some of our Central Engineering teams – Materials, CAE, Noise/Vibration/Harshness Testing in Design, Product Safety, Development/System Integration, Test, Project Management, or Validation.

Powertrain – Internships within Powertrain will allow you to build upon your key skillsets of Powertrain in the areas of Design, Development/System Integration, Test, or Project.

Electrical – Internships within Electrical will allow you to build upon your key skillsets to apply Electrical Theory through product design and test.

Our internship program is designed to help you understand our culture and organizational structure. This program is the primary gateway to fill our pipeline for our full time Engineering Development Program so successful interns will be considered for a full time offer before the fall semester even begins.

Our Core & Powertrain Engineering interns are placed in either our Roseau, MN or Wyoming, MN offices. Electrical Engineering interns are placed in Roseau, MN; Wyoming, MN; or Portland, OR.

HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN PROGRAM

Our Human Resources Internship Program provides the opportunity for you to make a true impact on the company by working on critical business needs and hands-on projects while also being able to grow yourself professionally through challenging assignments, personal coaching, and networking opportunities with other interns and leaders cross-functionally.

Our 12-week summer internship allows you to take a deep dive into what it is like to be a true HR professional at a passionate, challenging, and innovative company. Our HR internship is project-based so you will experience both larger ongoing projects as well as shorter-scale projects throughout the summer that align with our business objectives. Interns are placed into one specific team based on interest and business need. These teams could include, but are not limited to: Generalist, Client Groups, Centers of Excellence, Compensation/Benefits, Organizational Development, or Talent Acquisition.

You will get the chance to work closely with the employees that make our fun, high-quality products in a plant environment while practicing robust employee relations skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to support one of our many Business Units and/or Functional areas that will aid in your understanding the customer-facing business objectives. During the internship, you will gain HR specific skills & knowledge, the opportunity to build your professional network, ability to gain exposure to how Polaris operates and increase your business acumen. Specifically, some of the projects you might have exposure to could include HR analytics, orientation revamp, talent pipelining, succession planning, or generalist responsibilities to name a few.

The Polaris Information Systems Internship Program (ISIP) accelerates career development for current undergrad and graduate students who want to build a foundation of technical knowledge and leadership skills. During this internship you will have the support and resources you need to develop your business and technical skills while establishing relationships with IS leadership that will continue throughout your career with Polaris. Our 12-week internship program is built to allow you the opportunity to work in one of several IS teams which could include, but not limited to:

• Business Intelligence

We offer two different Operations internships: Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

Our Manufacturing Operations interns participate in projects aligned with our Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams. For those following the Supply Chain track, they will have exposure to Supply Chain, Materials Procurement, Logistics, Quality and Lean teams.

As a Finance intern, you will be given impactful assignments with personalized goals and projects that track directly to the needs of the business and allow you to contribute to key company initiatives. Our internships are designed to challenge and prepare you for your full time career. Depending on your placement, you will have opportunity to gain experience in financial analysis, month-end reporting, P&L management, navigating ambiguity, communication, project and time management.

During this internship you will have the support and resources you need to develop your business and finance skills while establishing relationships with Finance leadership that will continue throughout a potential career with Polaris. You will also be paired with a mentor who is currently in the Finance Development Program.

Our internship program is designed to fill our pipeline for our full time Finance Development Program; success in your internship will earn you consideration for a position as an FDP.

SALES & MARKETING INTERN PROGRAM

The Polaris Sales & Marketing Internship Program (SMIP) accelerates career development for current undergraduate sophomores and juniors who want to build a foundation of business knowledge and leadership skills. Our unique 12-week program is comprised of internship opportunities in Sales, Marketing, or Product functional assignments across all business lines. Exact placement is determined by interest and business need.

As a Sales & Marketing intern, you will be given impactful project-based assignments aligning with business objectives. You can expect to create value from the start and will be able to see your project through to completion as you wrap up the summer.

Our internships are designed to challenge and prepare you for your full time career. They will push you in the areas of: creative thinking, leadership, analysis, navigating ambiguity, communication, and time management.
