Polaris Development Programs give our new hires the opportunity to experience several different areas of our business early on in their careers. They are designed to offer accelerated development for high-potential graduates in several of our core business functions. Associates are given thought-provoking assignments that align with core business objectives and have real impact. ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Polaris Engineering Development Program (EDP) offers a unique opportunity for recent graduate engineers who share our commitment to becoming a global force in the design and production of world-class snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, electric/hybrid powered vehicles and Polaris engines.

Our unique two-year development program will help you develop essential skills in Polaris Engineering processes that provide a broad-based understanding of the product development cycle, and give you in-depth exposure to our customers and their needs. The program provides the resources, support and environment to help foster both personal and professional success.

There are 3 branches of the program: Core Mechanical, Powertrain and Electrical. Each branch provides a focused experience working alongside experts on meaningful projects. You'll begin building your skills and knowledge early through a series of short-term assignments which could include:

• Design Engineering (Only for Core Mechanical Program) 
• Manufacturing Engineering (Only for Core Mechanical Program)
• Development and Testing
• Project Engineering or Project Management
• Periodic training in technical, project management and presentation skills
• Executive Presentations

Rotations can take place in a variety of our teams including, but not limited to Small Vehicles, Snowmobiles, ORVs, On-Road vehicles and Engines. Our rotations may also include exposure to International teams and projects. The variety of assignments gives you an introduction to what working at Polaris is all about. These rotations will ultimately help pair your skills with our business needs at the completion of the program. During this program you will also establish mentor relationships with our technical leadership team that will continue to grow throughout your career with Polaris.

Our Engineering Development Program participants will likely be asked to relocate throughout the rotations so applicants must be willing and able to relocate for the development program and placement after completion. These locations could include but are not limited to: Roseau, MN; Wyoming, MN; or Portland, OR.

FINANCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Polaris Finance Development Program (FDP) accelerates career development for recent college graduates who wish to advance their finance knowledge and leadership skills. Through structured business rotations, you will develop your financial acumen and business insight to prepare you for future positions of significant responsibility. The program provides the resources, support and opportunities to help foster both personal and professional success.

Our unique rotational program includes 3 one-year assignments supplemented with stretch assignments across the finance organization. Each year-long assignment will challenge you to learn new processes and take on varying responsibilities in areas such as FP&A, Operations and Manufacturing Finance as well as Treasury and other corporate functions. While contributing in your rotational roles, you will have the opportunity to work on stretch or bubble assignments in a lateral area of finance to maximize exposure to different areas of Polaris as well as expand your network throughout the company. These assignments will further develop your project management and communication skills.

At the end of each rotation you will present on your projects and responsibilities to leadership. The variety of these assignments will provide you with an expansive introduction to Polaris and corporate finance - helping to identify and progress your strengths and career objectives. During this program you will establish mentor relationships with our business leadership team that will continue throughout your career with Polaris. The first three years of your employment will consist of a progressive course of planned rotations; key areas include:

HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Our Human Resources Early Talent Development Program (HRDP) is designed to be a launch pad from your most recent educational experience into your long-term professional aspirations.

Our Development Program is designed to provide the HRDP with autonomy on accomplishing strategic business initiatives while also providing a strong backbone of support from their peers and leaders. The 3, 12-month rotations are designed to expand your experiences, skills, and knowledge in different areas of our business in order to help develop you into an HR leader within Polaris. You will get the chance to work closely with the employees that make our fun, high-quality products in a plant environment while practicing robust employee relations skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to support one of our many Business Units and/or Functional areas that will aid in your understanding the customer-facing business objectives. Our Centers of Excellence are a critical tent-pole within the HR Function where you’ll gain knowledge on how we bring in and move talent across the organization and the structures in which employees are rewarded for their performance.

Our HRDP’s must relocate as a part of the program for one or more of the assignments. Placements could be located in: Plymouth, MN; Spirit Lake, IA; Osceola, WI; Roseau, MN; Wyoming, MN; Huntsville, AL; Vermillion, SD; Wilmington, OH.

INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Polaris Information Systems Development Program (ISDP) offers you the unique opportunity to accelerate your career development, technical knowledge and leadership foundation through 4, 6-month long business rotations within the IS department.

Our individualized development plans are designed to help build a solid and well-rounded IS background. We have four primary tracks for the development program: Application Design & Development, Business Resource Management, Infrastructure, and Data Science. Final placement is determined based on interest as well as business need.

• The Digital & Applications track is best suited for those graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering. You will gain exposure to the following areas: System Analysis and Design, Application Development/Coding, and Business Intelligence.

• The Business Resource Management track is best suited for those graduating with a degree in Information Systems Management or Business Administration/Management. It will give the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of Polaris Business Units in the following roles: Business Analysis/Product Ownership and Project Management/Scrum.

• The Infrastructure track is best suited for those graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Network Security, or Computer Engineering. You will gain experience and exposure to Polaris infrastructure and network environments through: Database/SharePoint Administration, Network Administration Systems Administration/Cloud, Desktop Administration/Client Services, and Security Administration.

• The Data Science track is best suited for those graduating with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or Computer Science. You will gain experience across the full range of enterprise functions, translating their key decision-making processes into algorithm development opportunities.

The Operations Development Program (ODP) offers a robust opportunity for engineering and business graduates who share our commitment to defining and delivering world-class manufacturing processes and products. Over a span of 2-3 years, our ODP participants will experience 3-4 rotations. This rotational program is designed to accelerate the team member’s development by exposing them to Polaris Operations through a variety of critical assignments and targeted training.

We offer two paths within our Operations Development Program: Operations/Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Both paths provide a focused experience working alongside experts on meaningful projects. You’ll begin building your skills, knowledge and have an opportunity to lead early in your career. Some of the skills you will build during these assignments will include analysis, project management, creative problem solving, communication and leadership.

The Polaris Sales & Marketing Leadership Development Program (SMLDP) accelerates career development for recent college graduates who wish to further develop core business, leadership, marketing, and sales competencies. Our unique two-year development program allows you the opportunity to work in roles within both Sales and Marketing to build a solid business foundation, and to ultimately declare a focus area for more concentrated experience.

Through your business rotations, you will be given challenging assignments in each of the 6-month rotations to accelerate your career development for future positions of significant responsibility. The variety of work gives you an introduction to what working at Polaris is all about and helps you decide where you can do the work best suited to your interests and the company's needs. During this program you will also establish mentor relationships with our business leadership that will continue throughout your career with Polaris. Polaris provides the resources, support and environment you need to realize both personal and professional success in this role.

You will have an individualized development plan of four short-term rotations (6 months long) in Sales and Marketing.
