Experiential Marketing is a key component of the Slingshot go to market strategy. Leverages experiential to increase awareness and consideration of the brand through authentic, differentiated, and memorable consumer experiences. In this role the Specialist will lead planning, development and execution of key experiential programs. Key responsibilities include development of overall brand experiential strategy and measurement plans, aligning plans internally, planning and execution of consumer events, briefing and management of agency partners, onsite management during key consumer events, shows and rallies, and competitive benchmarking. This individual will partner with commercialization and sales teams, external agency partners and cross-functional groups within Polaris to create a holistic event experience and drive connection in all applicable marketing channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the planning and execution of experiential marketing campaigns

  • Responsible for the event / tour plan elements including displays, fleet management, logistics, staffing & lead generation
  • Responsible for communication materials and plan to internal team & field sales
  • Ensure on-brand marketing material & assets
  • Cultivate & manage certain industry relationships
  • Lead contracting process for sponsorship negotiation, site fees, agency support, staffing support, and other event specific needs w/outside vendors while continually exploring opportunities for improvement
  • Tracking and measuring effectiveness of program internally and externally, including monthly reporting
  • Formulate and communicate ROI for expenditures inclusive of budget & retail goals
  • Benchmark best practices & competitive analysis, provide recommendations

Develop, Manage, and Implement Local Dealer Event Execution
  • Facilitate event awareness and collaboration with Field Sales & Dealers
  • Responsible for the event / tour plan elements including displays, fleet management, logistics, staffing & lead generation
  • Manage 7 figure program budget
  • Lead collaboration across teams (e.g. PG&A, digital, apparel, etc.) to maximize program impact
  • Attend events on occasion
  • Tracking and measuring effectiveness of program internally and externally, including monthly reporting of KPI metrics and countermeasures


Assist with event plans to meet business objectives & goals. Including but not limited to: Daytona Bike Week, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Auto Show series & SEMA.
  • Booth layouts, contents and logistics
  • Lead staff training
  • Staff strategy, plan and on-site execution
  • Ensure on-brand marketing collateral
  • Responsible for event lead generation process & distribution of leads post event in collaboration with interactive team
  • Manage certain industry relationships


Support Event Lead Management Process (in collaboration with Marketing Division & Interactive Team)
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, yearly lead generation for brand at events
  • Monitor and adjust approach to lead management, as appropriate


Support Overall Development of Marketing Plan (in collaboration with Marketing Manager)
  • Direct marketing materials
  • On-line communications

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 3-5 years' relevant sales and marketing experience. Event and industry experience preferred
  • Proven track record of organizational and project management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive problem solver, focused high-achiever who consistently delivers results and has the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Agility to pivot and adapt under tight timelines
  • Highly collaborative, with strong creativity in approach to work and problem solving
  • Excellent written, analytical, influence skills
  • Excellent communication & relationship skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

Standard office environment; travel to events, shows and demos (primarily throughout US & Canada).
Travel 30-50% required, primarily on nights & weekends
