JOB SUMMARY: Solve flow analysis problems; provide design insights and leadership, to all Polaris Product Groups on a project basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: •Interact with and provide flow analysis project support across multiple product groups using commercial CFD software codes. •Methods development, implementation of best practices. •Develop templates for use by design engineers. •Lead other engineering design team members in the area of flow and thermodynamics EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE. •Preferred skills with Fluent, ANSYS CFx and Pro/E. •Experience in the design of vehicle cooling systems, vehicle underhood heat transfer problems, and vehicle aerodynamics. Knowledge of engine cooling system and or intake and exhaust sytems also. •Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills. •Team player, ability to work with several design teams concurrently and across multiple sites. •Experience with experimental correlation and product validation. •3-5 years minimum experience desired with advanced numerical problems, including vehicle aero and under-hood flow studies, flow predictions in engine waterjacket cooling systems, engine CHT thermal models and thermal boundary conditions, etc. •B.S. Engineering required, advanced degree preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS •Normal office working conditions. •Some travel required between Polaris sites.
