The Polaris Digital & Information Services Development Program (D&IS DP) offers you the unique opportunity to accelerate your career development, business knowledge, and leadership skills through four, six month rigorous business rotations within the D&IS department. In each rotation you will be challenged to develop your skills, further build your business foundation and accelerate your career development for future positions with significant responsibility.

We lead the way in the powersports industry with technology that is driving new products, cutting edge manufacturing processes, and services that support the Polaris lifestyle. We are engaged with in-vehicle infotainment, machine learning, 3D modeling, and IoT integration. With today's advances in technology and information services, Polaris is committed to remaining an industry leader.

You will have an individualized development plan during your rotations in the Digital & Information Services (D&IS) department. These rotations are designed to help build a solid and well-rounded business background, focused in Information Services. You will be able to choose from five different focus areas: Digital, Software Development, Business Resource Management, Infrastructure or Data Science & Analytics.

The Digital focus area is best suited for graduates in majors related to User Experience Research and Design, Human Computer Interaction, Social Computing, Software Development or User Interface. You could gain exposure to the following disciplines:

  • User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) Design
  • Optimization and Testing
  • Full Stack Web Development
  • eMarketing
  • SEO/Analytics
  • 3D Modeling

The Software Development focus area is best suited for graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related majors with interest in software design and development. You will gain exposure to the following disciplines:

  • Full Stack Web Development
  • Cloud & On-Premises Software Development
  • Systems Analysis and Design

The Business Resource Management focus area is best suited for graduates in Information Systems Management or Business Administration/Management. It will give you the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of Polaris Business Units in the following roles:
  • Business Analyst/Product Ownership
  • Project Management/Scrum and Waterfall
  • Value Stream Manager

The Infrastructure focus area is best suited for graduates in Computer Science, Network Security, or Computer Engineering. You will gain experience and exposure to Polaris infrastructure and network environments through:
  • Security Administration
  • Network Administration
  • Server/System Administration
  • Client Administration
  • Database Administration
  • Systems Support

The Data Science focus area is best suited for those graduating with a graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or Computer Science. You will gain experience and exposure across the full range of enterprise functions translating their key decision-making processes into algorithm development opportunities. Rotations could include being placed within a Business Unit to deliver value through data driven insights or working with the Data Science team on specific projects company wide.

These experiences prepare you to have a well-rounded background to excel in roles within your focus area's space. Rotations are determined by both business need and candidate interests.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field
  • Graduating between December 2019-June 2020
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0, preferred
  • Ongoing geographic flexibility; you must be willing to travel and relocate between sites for your rotations as well as mobility beyond the rotational program to support accelerating your development
  • Willingness to learn a wide array of technologies both on-premise and in the cloud
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software; Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint
