The Digital Product Design Leader works with Digital Product Teams to establish a vision for our digital properties and products optimizing toward that that vision through design and UX driven by user research, iterative testing and data-driven analysis.

The individual leads User Experience, Optimization Analysts and other experience driving roles in a product team structure and will collaborate with business leaders, product managers, engineers and other partners. Delivering a lean UX design process from product discovery, conceptualization, sketching & prototyping, user interface, functional design, through implementation, usability review and the operation of a data-driven measurement and optimization program. This is a critical role within the department with significant responsibility and will interact with senior leadership and business unit partners on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with an eye for how to best engage users in both marketing and complex digital / commerce environments. This person should take initiative to thoroughly understand our customers and the powersports industry. They are driven to create findable, usable, world-class experiences. This candidate loves collaboration, can clearly translate functional objectives into detailed experience specifications and can communicate a customer experience vision to a variety of audiences.

  • Lead in the product discovery, optimization and testing process in partnership with product owners, development leads, analysts, ux research and product designers. Generate new concept ideas and hypotheses, test ideas, conduct research, pivot quickly to new directions.
  • Establish and communicate effective design processes and standards through a strong understanding of user-centered design techniques coupled with practical experience in how a design team should collaborate cross-functionally for maximum effectiveness delivering solutions.
  • Drive a responsive design agenda, ensuring product experiences render seamlessly and behave according to our brand values and promise.
  • Build key partnerships with other business groups (market planners, marketing, product managers) to champion for the UX discipline and continuous testing & optimization.

  • Lead user research including usability sessions, interviews, and surveys. Drives backlog of optimization opportunities through testing process and implementation measuring customer satisfaction and business value.
  • Build a high-performing, cross-disciplinary UX team that embraces creativity, rigor and data.
  • Manage UX, testing and analysis resource project assignments with in-house staff, vendors and offshore resources, as needed, to complete deliverables with quality, on-time, and within budget.



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in design-focused discipline.
  • 6+ years experience in digital design with at least 3 years leading and managing both direct and indirect reports; preferably with experience driving a consumer brand
  • Extensive background in all facets of design management including research & strategy, mobile-first and responsive, user testing methodologies, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Expert in a variety of modern methodologies like design thinking, user-centered design, agile development, lean business methodology, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of the global digital device landscape
  • Expertise in UX software such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Cloud. Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.


  • Whole-brain thinker: analytical and detail-oriented mind-set balanced with strong aesthetic and empathetic sensibility.
  • Experience working collaboratively with other product owners and engineers in a variety of settings and strong communication skills with the ability to articulate positions and advocate designs.
  • Track record leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver multiple and/or large-scale projects.
  • Stong experience in optimization and testing including process creation, creative approaches, implementation of tests, statistical testing models and ownership of business ROI pipeline.
  • M.S. in Design Strategy, Graphic Design or Visual Communications, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver mobile apps, responsive and adaptive web, environmental designs (in-store, displays, signage).
