External Description: DEALER COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
SUMMARY: Polaris seeks a high energy, detailed-oriented, experienced professional to join Polaris ORV Channel Development team as a Dealer Compliance Specialist. In this important role, the Specialist will work in a fast-paced corporate office environment and be responsible to manage and execute: Polaris Dealer Compliance Programs, the Dealer Termination Closeout Process, Polaris Minimum Advertised Price Policy, and all dealer compliance policies, letters, and communication to dealers. A successful Specialist will use highly effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with & across teams to create, drive, and supervise programs that collectively support Polaris's Channel Optimization strategy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Management of Channel Development Dealer Compliance Programs
o Collaborates with internal Polaris stakeholders and dealers to administrate and enforce dealership compliance with the Polaris Dealer Agreement & various Polaris Dealer Policies
o Responsible for policy development & updates, and auditing & executing of the Polaris Channel Development- owned policies including MAP, Minimum Standards, etc.
o Drives partnership with internal stakeholders and across teams to align the various Dealer Policies and their policy owners to align with a broader channel development strategy.
o Leads communications across internal stake holders and with dealers to proficiently manage the issue escalation and resolution process
o Recommends program improvements as part of a collaborative team; tracks and coordinates the program update process across internal stakeholders, business units, and teams
· Ownership of Dealer Termination Closeout Process
o Leads and executes the dealer managed exit process & termination closeout process
o Owns drafting letter notices, collection and processing of key documents and files
o Works cross-functionally verbally & in written communication with Polaris dealers, internal Polaris stakeholders, and vendors to complete the closeout process of dealer accounts
o Consistently tracks progress and logs all activities and details into project management CRM
o Submits frequent written updates and conducts meetings as necessary with Supervisor, including Department Manager and Director as required
o Responsible for reporting processing and closeout issues to Supervisor, Managers, and works with Polaris Legal Dept. as necessary
· Manage the Polaris Minimum Advertised Price ("MAP") Policy
o Responsible for administering Polaris MAP Policy with vendor(s), internal Polaris stakeholders, and Polaris dealers
o Supervises the vendor relationship as the primary contact and liaison to Polaris
o Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, across teams, and with Polaris dealers to proficiently manage the issue escalation and resolution process
o Recommends program improvements as part of a collaborative team; tracks and coordinates the program update process across internal stakeholders, business units, and teams
o Monitor effectiveness
· Collaborate with & across teams to create, drive, and supervise programs that support Polaris's Channel Optimization strategy
· Supervise and assist team in process to complete all department dealer compliance letters and mailings in support of:
o MAP violation notices, Dealer Min. Standards, Surrounding Dealer Notification, Dealer Compliance, Annual Polaris Dealer Agreement, Annual Timbersled Dealer Agreement, Polaris Policy updates, Termination Notices, Probation Notices, Dealer Performance Letters, and other letters as required
· Support and work cross-functionally with Channel Development Team and Department Leadership on other projects and tasks as assigned
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Required:
· Bachelor's degree required
· Positive attitude, customer-focused, highly accountable, and competitive spirit; proficient at working independently, but also enjoys working as part of a team in a corporate office environment
· Highly organized, self-directed style, with strong ability to prioritize
· Detail-oriented; disciplined to keep notes and tracking information
· Thrives in fast-paced culture and environment working under tight time restraints; proficient in managing multiple deliverables and consistently meeting deadlines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, telephone, and e-mail skills
· Excellent reading comprehension skills required; experience writing professional business communications and legal documents highly desired
· Strong computer skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred:
· 5 - 7+ years' experience with a proven track record of success in sales or finance account management roles, and / or customer - client support roles managing business processes and customer relationships
· Experience supervising subordinates or peers in projects
· Experience successfully innovating, administrating and leading programs with a large audience, requiring collaboration with multiple stakeholders, internal teams, and levels of leadership
· Driven personality; consistent track record of exceeding goals
· Self-confidence, thick skin, & track record of success professionally managing difficult telephone discussions under contentious circumstances

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Corporate office environment - Location: Bass Creek Facility, Plymouth, MN
  • Occasional travel to company meetings - 10-15% of the time
