External Description: JOB SUMMARY:
Polaris Industries, Inc. is looking for a technical owner to work in an exciting, very fast-paced environment. As a leader on the Polaris team, you would be dedicated to our product quality management systems team. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting products across Polaris global manufacturing and quality management footprint. Strong candidates will be experienced product owners with knowledge and excitement around agile transformations. Additional duties will include helping to push scrum best-practices and coaching the teams to higher levels of maturity.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning / Roadmapping / Stakeholder Engagement (50%)

  • Collaborates with business partners to determine opportunities and priorities.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders (plant managers, product quality team members, engineering team members and supplier quality team members)
  • Scopes and structures initiatives into IS projects. Performs requirements gathering.
  • Works with business to provide status updates, open issues and resolutions.
  • Effectively interacts with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Communicate frequently product feature backlog, progress, impediments and provide transparency to all stakeholders

Product Leadership (50%)
  • Take lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
  • Scopes and structures initiatives into IS projects.
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Provides product team with guidance, decision making and overall responsibility for product delivery
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Provide leadership to team members learning Agile/Scrum, be a servant leader to those team members and help them learn exciting new ways of getting work done
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Previous working experience as a product owner, scrum master or project manager
  • 4 year Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • In-depthknowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Attention to detail
