JOB SUMMARY

This key leadership role within the PG&A ORV Category team will lead the evolution from a traditional wholesale model to a truly omni-channel, retail-focused pull-and-flow operating model for the ORV PGA business. You will align your team's efforts to grow retail sales results while informing, engaging, and inspiring Polaris subsidiaries, distributors, dealers and end consumers throughout the purchase funnel. You will work closely with PG&A category teams, field sales leadership, E-Commerce, International and the ORV business unit to bring your strategies to life and execute plans to drive retail performance. Manages and develops a team of Product Line Sales Specialists

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the cross-functional rollout of pull-and-flow model of PG&A across the North American dealer network
  • Responsible for defining the global instore experience strategy and implementing globally, inclusive of merchandising solutions to maximize retail for PG&A businesses. Execute training for both internal sales team and dealership sales associates
  • Engages, partners with, and educates dealers on retail-driving and stocking programs to fully leverage them as our most important advocates and partners in serving customers
  • Creates and manages sales incentives, dealer profiles and programs to achieve financial results. Drives execution through team and field sales resources and adapt as needed throughout the year to achieve revenue targets for the business
  • Partners with the VP of Sales to drive Salesforce Transformation throughout our dealerships
  • Works with International teams to build retail strategies to win in international markets.
  • Manages promo and allowance budget to determine optimal mix to drive both retail and stocking activities
  • Utilizes retail data and consumer insights to drive business analysis in assessing the effectiveness of tactics, determine market conditions and inform planning and execution of sales and marketing strategies
  • Builds and manage a high-performing Sales team, identifying future staffing needs to support PG&A growth goals, improving functional expertise and organizational credibility
  • Develops and cultivates strong cross-functional relationships with key leaders in field sales and the ORV Wholegoods business unit


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7+ years of relevant sales experience required; Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven track record of successes, with hands-on knowledge of strategy, competitive analysis, sales, advertising, promotions, and portfolio management
  • Strong communication skills are required, both written and verbal
  • Excellent presentation skills. Ability to present to and persuade a wide range of audiences from Polaris Senior Management, to members of the press to dealers
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • Cross-functional influencing capabilities, able to work well across and up and down the organization. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and manage others, as well as coach for development
  • An understanding, appreciation, and/or passion for Power Sports or similar businesses preferred


WORKING CONDITIONS & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
  • Consistent travel is required, including to DSM meetings, Polaris Dealer Shows, Customer Events, and Dealer Visits. This will occur primarily throughout the US & Canada, with occasional travel overseas
  • Standard office environment
