JOB SUMMARY:
The Channel Development Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing Polaris' efforts around field sales and dealer improvement. This will be done through for field sales and dealer facing programs, tools, and training. A large focus will be on executing the DRM Certification and the Dealer Certification programs. The Channel Development Specialist will work cross-functionally with many internal stakeholders and closely with existing field sales team,sales leadership, and external vendors to ensure that all programs, tools, and training are driving an improved dealer network & consumer experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dealer Programs
- Work to develop strategy and road-map for dealer incentives programs that encourages dealer investment and focus on proven retail, share, and profit driving activities
- Support programs with appropriate communication and education tools for field sales & dealers
- Understand competitive programs and how to position Polaris programs to be successful with dealer network
- Actively manage setting up programs in CRM and ensure all data feed accuracy
- Analyze data to report out on performance, ensure data accuracy, set goals and forecast dealer network results
- Partner with IS to develop improvement road-map and troubleshooting any issues
- Ensure field sales team has resources to successfully execute on program and aid with any questions
- Travel in field to capture both field sales and dealer feedback to evolve the program
Field Sales Programs
- Influence the ongoing strategy evolution of the new DRM Certification Program
- Work closely with key vendors to ensure the partnership is effectively meeting our goals
- Manage consistent process to audit, track, and communicate DRM Certification status to the field sales team
- Plan and communicate the ongoing training calendar (for Silver) and opportunities (for Gold) to all stakeholders
- Develop the final Gold Curriculum to support the goals of the program with sales leadership and subject matter experts
- Build process to conduct and share the Field Support quarterly survey results to all stakeholders (All BUs, leadership, RSMs and DRMs)
- Be the one point of contact for field sales teams on any questions regarding the program
- Travel in field to capture both field sales and dealer feedback to evolve the program
ORV Training
- Drive strategy behind building training to support our dealer network in providing the best customer experience, managing a profitable business and understanding Polaris product, tools and resources
- Work cross-functionally to communicate the new initiatives and drive engagement from the content owners
- Manage the training development process with subject matter experts (internal and external)
- Lead the dealer facing programs to drive engagement with training efforts
- Own communications with field sales teams and the dealer network on training
- Responsible for gathering feedback to ensure effectiveness of training content and format
- Travel in field to capture both field sales and dealer feedback to evolve the training strategy
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field required
- 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience
- Proven track record of driving results and retail sales growth & success in a fast-paces environment
- In-depth knowledge of powersports dealers and the channels in which they operate
- Candidate must be detail-oriented with organization, communication, project management and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and interact with all levels of management.

- Corporate office environment
- Travel required, up to 33% of the time
