PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:

We currently have an opportunity for a Workday Integrations Programmer/Developer. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integrations into and out of the Workday system and should have knowledge of related applications and cloud-based technologies. Should also possess excellent interpersonal skills along with strong written and verbal communication and the ability to communicate effectively to non-technical audiences as well as senior technical personnel. The individual should have the ability to work effectively as an individual or in a team environment. Flexible hours may be required occasionally.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Overall HRIS Administration/Maintenance of Workday (40% of time)

• Act as main Workday System Analyst - develop excellent knowledge of the system and Polaris configuration across all modules

• Act as subject matter expert, providing troubleshooting and other support for end users, escalate complex issues to HRIS or Payroll Manager

• Work with Named Support Contacts to log cases and partner with NSCs and Workday Support to test solutions

• Analyze internal business processes to ensure optimal configuration and to facilitate a continual return on investment

• Consult with HR Business Partners and Center of Excellence Leaders to understand business needs and develop Workday solutions to address them

• Ensure prioritization of change requests and evaluate the system-wide impact of any proposed enhancements

• Actively participate in Workday Community, customer groups and networking events

• Partner with HR/Payroll System Admin to review and test weekly patch updates

2. Periodic Upgrades/Enhancements (20% of time)

• Partner with Sr. HRIS Analyst on system updates (2x/year)

• Understand Workday update process and recommend Polaris' adoption of enhancements (including timing)

• Configure and test all new enhancements and related changes

• Assist with the preparation of training materials or instructions if necessary

• Communicate and/or train users on new features or enhancements

3. Annual Processes (15% of time)

• Support annual configuration required for benefits open enrollment, compensation planning and performance management, consulting with functional areas on content decisions

• Test and troubleshoot all configurations and business processes

• Maintain hourly wage structure and process annual wage adjustments

• Assist with the preparation of training materials or instructions if necessary

• Conduct system training on new features or enhancements

4. Reporting/Training (15% of time)

• Act as global reporting expert - provide HR support for reporting queries

• Maintain report libraries and work with business groups to prepare relevant reports and dashboards

• Prepare/communicate any training materials as required

• Lead training on new system enhancements/functionality as needed

5. System Administrator Back-Up Support (10% of time)

• Understand basic integration set-up to ensure ability to provide back-up support for the System Administrator as required.

• Participate in integration design/testing to further expand technical knowledge in this area

• Partner with System Administrator on new integration development, configuring calculated fields, and complex reporting requirements to facilitate cross-training

• Attend training as required to further build technical expertise regarding integrations

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• 3 year degree in Business Related Field Required (or equivalent experience)

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 5 - 8 years of general HRIS experience

• 3 - 5 years of Workday-specific HRIS experience (including design, configuration, testing)

• Other HR experience a plus (benefits, compensation, talent, etc.)

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Good understanding of Workday Business Object Model

Good understanding of Workday Business Process Framework

Experience extracting data from Workday using custom reports and/or Workday public web services

Experience with and understanding of Workday integration processes and best practices

Good understating of Workday calculated fields

Experience with Workday Web services API, XML, XSLT

Experience with Workday Studio

Superior communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work proactively and independently

Skills desired:

Workday Integration Certified, strongly preferred but not required

Workday Prism experience

Configuration and/or reporting experience with the Workday Security, Payroll, Benefits, Performance Management, Time Tracking, and Compensation modules

Experience with Kronos Integration Manager
