We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join our team and lead the Slingshot product management process to meet customer-obsessed business objectives. You will be responsible for managing global product planning PDC/ LRP/ LRPP, the development process of all new products, and product lifecycle management for the Slingshot Business in the Motorcycles Global Business Unit. You will coordinate with the integrated product and business team on the development of market share targets and sales objectives; product design, development, and cost; product quality; market research; Product launches and the associated marketing activities like Press Rides; pricing and profit plans to ensure the commercial success of all new products, all guided by the "Voice Of The Customer".


  • Analyzes global market data, competitive activity, demographic & lifestyle trends to identify market opportunities that align with the strategic objectives of the business.

  • Studies consumer behavior that impacts buying decisions for on-road vehicles and related products, as well as other consumer durables. Also directs, tracks, and monitors customer satisfaction data & trends of current and past Slingshot products.

  • Identifies & conducts or coordinates various forms of market research.

  • Tracks trends in technology development, industrial design, and competitive product development to identify and anticipate future opportunities and competitive threats.

  • Keeps designers, engineers, division management team, and Polaris' senior management abreast of these trends and their implications.

  • Develops, maintains & manages the Slingshot business's product plan, LRP, and LRPP.

  • Champions adherence to the Polaris Development Process (PDP).

  • Develops and recommends share targets, sales volume, pricing, and profit margin forecasts.

  • Coordinates new product development including consumer inputs, industrial design, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, marketing, and financial planning for new model launches.

  • Makes volume and model-mix forecasts and coordinates with purchasing and manufacturing for adequate planning cycles.

  • Recommends changes, improvements, or deletions in current products to support customer needs and Slingshot Revenue, Retail, and Margin goals.

  • Coordinates plans for new accessories that support the target customer and enhance the product ownership and lifestyle experience with the PG&A division.

  • Identifies new opportunities for further expansion of the on-road vehicle division business in new segments via organic development as well as strategic alliances or acquisitions.

  • Supports Customer Connections and Service teams by connecting as needed to engineering resources.

  • Represents Slingshot and Polaris as the spokesperson on occasion.

  • Collaborates with other Polaris and Indian Product Managers & Engineering Leaders on company-wide improvement initiatives.

  • Represents Slingshot and Polaris at various industry events including trade association meetings.

  • Must be licensed and able to use the product competently. Extensive knowledge of motorcycles, customization culture, or other Powersports products a plus.

  • Supports regular marketing activities including event support, PR engagements, and press rides, and collaborates with Marketing and Sales on go-to-market plans and in-market activations


  • Driven and curious learner - Ready to understand customers' needs and build strategies and plans to address them with product

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. MBA a plus.

  • 5 plus years relevant sales and marketing or product development experience.

  • Strong analytical skills, and knowledge of quantitative & qualitative market research tools and techniques. Strong customer focus.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to present to and persuade a wide range of audiences from Polaris Senior Management, to members of the press, to dealers (sell the viability of commercial programs), and customers.

  • Good interpersonal skills. Team Player that can work well across, up, and down the organization.

  • Must be able to use product competently

  • 5 plus years of motorcycling or Powersports experience and knowledge of off-road vehicles and other Powersports and/or automotive products a plus.


• Standard office environment. Regular trips to Polaris engineering and manufacturing facilities.

• Some travel (primarily throughout the US & Canada, occasionally overseas).
