Polaris, a global powersports leader, is looking fora Software Lead - Quality to lead our offshore Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering team. This is an exciting position on a team building world-class connected rider solutions. As a technicalcontributoron the team, you will have the ability and empowerment to make changes and move quickly. You will have the opportunityto directly impactcellular connectivity, infotainment, and cloud development projectsat Polaris. The ideal candidate is effective in a fast-paced Agile development environment, pushing industry best practices and system maturity. Interest in powersports is a plus, as there are opportunities to ride!


  • Work with engineering management to build a world-class offshore software QA team
  • Work with different stakeholders, understand QA activities, document software quality plan or test plan, and lead the global QA team to execute tests per quality plan or test plan
  • Lead global QA engineering team to create test plan and execute test cases per the plan for assigned projects
  • Develop test procedures based on requirements or experience
  • Create and maintain automated test cases using team-approved automation tools
  • Lead daily or weekly project execution meetings with global QA team and provide project status to functional management team and program management team
  • Provide project quality status by using approved tools
  • Drive issue resolution with other engineering teams, if needed
  • Flexible enough to work on multiple products being produced for a fast-changing market
  • Have a customer-focused mindset for delivering a product that is centered around a great customer experience
  • Help build and maintain a highly productive team with high morale
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed


Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field or MS in a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years software QA experience testing In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) products, Connected Car space
  • Minimum of 3 years software leadership experience leading offshore teams
  • Willing to work in flexible hours to collaborate better with offshore team
  • Proven experience executing and leading all different types of testing, including but not limited to white box, black box, system, integration, UAT, automated, and unit testing
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to create highly robust, automated testing systems that are implemented into Continuous Integration pipelines
  • Must have clean and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Show a proven track record of fostering a collaborative culture
  • Comfort using open source tools for day-to-day development
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills with minimal supervision
  • Familiar with Agile software development methodology in Automotive

Preferred Qualifications:
  • QA experience with connected vehicle technologies, including firmware over the air (FOTA) and telematics
  • Software development experience in the automotive industry
  • QA experience with native navigation apps on embedded systems
  • QA experience with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
  • QA experience with voice recognition
  • QA experience with using Linux and/or Android-based operating systems for automotive industry
  • Tier 1 or Tier 2 working experience in the automotive industry
  • QA Experience with BlueZ, oFono, OBEX, PulseAudio and/or related open source audio and media
  • QA knowledge and experience with Bluetooth (Classic and LE) and audio/DSP technologies
  • QA knowledge about CAN (J-1939 preferred)
  • QA knowledge about Linux kernel development
  • Proven experience in unit testing
