We have an exciting opportunity for an engineer to join our Motorcycle team. You will be responsible for leading the design, integration, and validation of Motorcycle connected systems from concept to production to meet the needs of multiple vehicle platforms and derivatives. You'll work to deliver breakthrough connected products and services that delight our customers and bring increasing value to engineering and the business.


  • Responsible for the development and insertion of all connectivity components for motorcycle (2-wheel & 3-wheel) programs and platforms

  • Drives definition of Motorcycle connected vehicle strategies and features in coordination with product management, engineering, test, and connected platform teams

  • Provide early identification of connected platforming opportunities, architecture needs, and component or controller requirements

  • Identify and lead pre-development activities, prototyping, and concept development

  • Identify unique connected features or technical solutions that drive profitability

  • Responsible for translating connected business and digital design requirements into vehicle-level control system requirements and documentation that accurately reflect the needs and wants of the business while also accounting for the defined system constraints, and that can be distributed across cross-functional development teams

  • Interacts with other teams in engineering, test, manufacturing, purchasing, and external suppliers as needed for the successful completion of projects

  • Oversees end-to-end connected vehicle system validation strategy and execution to ensure quality metrics are met

  • Root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of vehicle connected systems when issues arise


  • B.S. or higher in Engineering required; Electrical, Software, Controls or related

  • 2+ years experience in design and/or implementation of controls, diagnostics, or communications

  • Experience working with complex vehicle systems with multiple integrated controllers

  • Experience in application, architecture design; design/delivery of complex integration solutions

  • Experience with communication networks; CAN, CANFD, J1939, and UDS

  • Experience with tools like CANaylzer and CANoe

  • Experience drafting feature requirements and specifications, SYSML experience a plus

  • Experience with connected vehicle architectures, telematics, over-the-air reflash, and IT backend/cloud-based systems desired

  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

  • Ability to obtain Motorcycle driver's license endorsement & completion of MSF Basic Rider & Basic Rider 2 Courses


  • Some travel is required (not to exceed 10%) to support vehicle builds, testing, and interface with suppliers

  • Some on-vehicle and shop work required
