Polaris Commercial Channel Account Manager

Job Description

The Channel Account Manager will develop and maintain strategic relationships to achieve corporate business objectives through an indirect commercial dealer network for Northern California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.. This position is accountable for increasing market share and improving channel engagement by balancing demand generation and sales development activities. Responsibilities include prospect identification, lead management, customer solution assessment and onsite product / process training. The Channel Account Manager will partner with commercial dealers to implement annual territory plans focused on market penetration, new customer acquisition and effective pipeline management. This position requires strong communication skills necessary to facilitate collaboration across a wide range of internal and external audiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Strengthen channel relationships to improve the total customer experience, generate incremental demand and deliver profitable growth

• Proactively lead a collaborative dealer planning process to align mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical business development milestones

• Work closely with commercial channel partners to identify prospects, engage potential customers and qualify new business leads

• Partner with dealers to achieve pipeline milestones including individual and joint sales calls, sales presentations and product demonstrations

• Conduct onsite training programs designed to meet validated partner needs, address capability gaps and improve product knowledge

• Increase awareness and utilization of market development tools, sales processes and product solution assessments

• Fully utilize a CRM system to build and manage sales pipeline; regularly report sales funnel opportunity to leadership team

• Assist dealers and internal stakeholders with execution of product demonstrations, trade shows and other demand generation initiatives

• Facilitate resolution of dealer and customer issues; work cross functionally to ensure internal teams are communicating and achieving resolution

• Support new dealer on-boarding process inclusive of critical systems, standard operating procedures and customer facing processes

• Conduct end-user site / fleet assessments of vehicles, document customer requirements and coordinate solution development efforts

• Work cross-functionally with channel development manager and sales leadership team to execute new dealer recruitment plans for key markets with a focus on milestones and timelines

Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business, marketing, or similar field

• Minimum 4 years' of large industrial equipment sales &/or commercial equipment sales &/or large manufacturing equipment sales &/or industrial vehicle sales &/or dealer account management experience is required

• Ability to think critically to solve problems

• Customer focus with strong follow-up

• A strong bias towards action

• Excellent presentation and communication skills

• Customer focused, ability to build relationships internally and with end users

• Proficiency with computer programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Working Conditions

•Ideal candidate will be physically located and based out of the Pacific Northwest Region (states specified in the job description)

•Remote/home-office environment, with travel

• Ability to travel up to 75%
