JOB SUMMARY:
The Demand and Supply Planning Systems Analyst is responsible for the high-level configuration, design and integration of 3rd Party Planning systems with custom code, Polaris integration frameworks and ERP systems. This role is a technical position that will require close partnership with project managers, application developers, and business users in defining business processes, writing functional specifications, and configuring systems to meet defined requirements. Functional knowledge of Demand and Supply planning will be critical as Polaris leverages several planning tools across various business units. This role requires the ability to quickly assess and come up to speed on new systems as new integrations and process changes are common in this space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
System Configuration, Design, Validation, QA and Implementation

  • Transforms requirements into actionable software design and/or configuration steps
  • Documents functional capabilities of software and integrations
  • Defines and authors design specifications for software developers/programmers
  • Partners with development and user teams to resolve questions and issues during configuration and development cycles
  • Details testing cases and executes test scripts to ensure that systems meet the needs of the business
  • Performs system testing and assists with user acceptance testing cycle
  • Executes implementation tasks and ensures successful go-live


Gathering Requirements and Analysis
  • Analyzes current and future state business processes through a technical perspective
  • Produce deliverables including business process flows; use cases; and storyboards
  • Facilitates technical and administrative meetings
  • Ensures compliance with SOX where applicable


System and User Support
  • Provides day-to-day application support to business users
  • Troubleshoots production problems and works to fix issues
  • Understands technology and systems infrastructure
  • Assists with training users on system processes and changes
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support overall objective of the position


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Required:
  • Bachelor 's degree in Computer Science/Software Design, Computer Information Systems or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience with supporting S&OP/Demand/Supply planning software (JDA/Logility/SO99, etc.)
  • Functional knowledge of the Demand to Supply to Manufacture to Sales cycle
  • Familiarity with adjacent business areas such as Logistics and Trade Compliance
  • Proven experience and success in integrating data across disparate systems
  • Experience with ERP, manufacturing, and supply chain business processes
  • Experience writing technical specifications and partnering with development teams
  • Skilled team player, i.e.; flexible, collegial, and enthusiastic
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical audience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills

Preferred:
  • Experience with Logility Planning Tools in a retail or similar organization
  • Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder Planning tools in a manufacturing organization
  • Experience supporting Logistics systems
  • Experience with Customer Order planning and prioritization tools
  • Experience working within Trade Compliance rules and practices such as NAFTA/USMCA
  • Able to read and understand RPG, C# .NET, SQL and/or XML, coding standards and practices
  • Experience with testing software in direct collaboration with business users
  • Other software and systems experience (Infor XA, MAPICS, AX 2012, D365, Trade Automation)
  • Solid understanding of MS Azure integration patterns

  • Location - Bass Creek Facility, Plymouth, MN, some remote work possible
  • Up to 10% travel (when safe to do so)
