As a Software Systems Analyst, you will participate in the entire software development lifecycle. This highly collaborative role requires business and technical acumen and a natural ability to translate input from a variety of stakeholders into solutions that strengthen our business. Specifically, this role will focus on mobile applications for our dealers, integration between dealer management systems and the Polaris cloud, and integration among several dealer-related Polaris websites and backend systems. The Systems Analyst partners with technical experts and management to write and socialize specifications. From there, you will anticipate and address technical and organizational challenges and work across teams to make these solutions a reality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Successfully collaborate with the full spectrum of stakeholders including non-technical personnel
  • Facilitate business and technical discussions
  • Translate technical challenges into a business context, articulate trade-offs and ROI
  • Identify subject matter experts within the development organization, quickly establish credibility and solicit their feedback
  • Requirements solicitation, refinement, definition (business and non-functional)
  • Produce deliverables including business process flows, use cases, storyboards
  • Understand the technical needs, including developer skillset, of multiple competing projects
  • Provide and refine effort estimates during the entire development lifecycle
  • Document functional capabilities of software and integrations
  • System Design including Integration, Configuration, Development, Validation and Implementation
  • Integrate with multiple systems from Polaris and vendors with a focus on loose coupling that facilitates maintenance and issue root cause analysis
  • Create Analytics dashboards that expose data at an aggregate level and allow drill-down to atomic details
  • Contribute to risk-based testing plans
  • Perform back-end data querying, analysis blending and cleansing
  • Train users on system processes and changes
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate under minimal supervision
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, &/or equivalent experience required
  • Proven success delivering quality software against milestones
  • Experience writing technical specifications and partnering with development teams
  • 3+ years experience collaborating with offshore teams
  • 3+ years experience with modern development frameworks and cloud providers
  • 3+ years of progressive C# development
  • Demonstrated familiarity with .NET and Azure
  • Strong understanding of REST web service design best practices
  • Skilled in database technologies (ex: NoSQL, RDBMS)
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern build systems (ex: Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Experience in agile collaboration models and tools (ex: Azure Boards, Jira)
  • Able to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of REST service development
  • Proven success integrating data across disparate systems
  • Mobile application development
  • Cross-platform mobile development using .NET and Xamarin
  • Mastery of Object-Oriented Development and User Interface design patterns (MVC, MVVM)
  • Experience with Dealership systems and/or Powersports
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
  • Experience with wireless communication technologies (NFC, Bluetooth Classic and LE, Wi-Fi, Cellular)
  • A passion for powersports and the great outdoors
