The completed diagnostic exercise identified significant cost savings opportunities that require a focused, precise approach led by our best employees. Apart from significant cost savings, this exercise promises an opportunity to transform our supply chain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Category Team Members
Our team members will be dedicated full-time to a cross-functional team that will work on one of the below categories (Fuel and Cooling).The Category Team Leads will be selected first and will help with the interview process forTeam Members. We will determine specific interest and fit during the interview/selection process.The team will work together for a period of 12-18 months. It's also important to note that for periods during the project, there will be heavy travel.Category team members will be dedicated to the project team for the duration of the project and will be comprised of the following functional roles: Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Finance.
Finance Team Member
The Finance team member will assist the project category team throughout the 11-gate Strategic Sourcing Process.
Work directly with the category team to develop ideas or team requests into working solutions
Act as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for any finance/accounting requirements received from Project Managers. Examples include: financial statements, accounting protocols and systems, cost accounting, variance analysis, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cost reductions, cost benefit analysis
Build and maintain financial models to track estimated savings and key financial metrics to support executive-level decision making
Accompany project category team on site visits and provide expertise/analysis on supplier financials
Examine supplier financial metrics (i.e. inventory turnover, throughput, cost per unit), review and validate project savings baseline and advocate for Polaris
Act as a liaison between the project category team and Polaris Finance/Accounting function
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting Required.
4-6 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Demonstrated skill working with and influencing cross functional teams
General manufacturing / sourcing experience preferred
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and non-traditional Finance role
Extensive experience in various Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required
Hyperion and MAPICs experience a plus
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
Team player with good communication; influencing and analytical skills.
Successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills with previous experience working with senior management on a routine basis
Standard, fast-paced office environment.
Heavy travel required.
