Join the Polaris Product Compliance Team and actively support product emission certifications for Off-Road Vehicles, Motorcycles, and Snowmobiles. Prepare emission certification test requests and approve reports for EPA, CARB, and other global emission certifications. Own EU Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) directive planning, application preparation, submissions, and conformity of production requirements for off-road vehicles sold in Europe.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Write emission certification test requests and review emissions certification data for accuracy (exhaust and evaporative emissions)
Maintain library of emissions variation and certification data for Polaris vehicles and engines
Own EU NRMM directive planning, certification application preparation, submissions, conformity of production test plans and audits, and in-service test plans for off-road vehicles sold in Europe
Prepare NRMM deliverables for stage gate product development process reviews
Interface with third-party certification authorities for NRMM certifications
Support resolution of emissions compliance issues
Maintain and develop compliance processes and systems
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
B.S. degree in Engineering or related field
3+ years' experience in product compliance and/or emissions certification preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with global partners
Motorsports enthusiast with vehicle systems knowledge
Self-starter who can apply engineering principles to regulatory requirements
High ethical standards and excellent research and communication skills
Dynamic, fast-paced environment
North American (primary) and International scope
Limited travel required (10%)
