This role is responsible for evolving and executing the Finance Process & Systems strategies, including ownership of the finance digital transformation efforts and the OneStream financial system. Within OneStream, the role will have ownership over system hierarchy, chart of accounts, IS controls, and the flow of new accounting processes, along with the implementation of additional modules within OneStream. Within our finance digital transformation efforts, the role will be a liaison with IS and Business Unit finance teams and ensure progression along the strategies. The role will be a leadership role for a team of individuals to execute the objectives and reports directly to the VP FP&A / Corporate Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the Finance digital transformation initiative including refining and implementing the strategy that has been developed, including identifying and tracking potential projects, managing project pipelines, developing associated budgets, and tracking progress towards overall digital goals
Assess digital capabilities and guide the development of digital skillsets throughout the global finance team
Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to global finance business processes that can be accomplished through the use of technology
Own the finance team's relationship with its IS business partners and ensure alignment of goals between the two organizations and facilitate enhanced communication between the groups
Own the OneStream system including the system hierarchy, chart of accounts, and user access and change management controls
Triage OneStream issue reports from users, responding with workarounds and/or specifying fixes to be carried out
Establish and support the data governance over financial data within OneStream
Maintain and work through a prioritized backlog of OneStream system projects/changes, drive prioritization at meetings, and communicate timelines, backlogs and schedules to stakeholders
Collaborate with the global accounting and finance teams to establish and enact proper process flows for new transactions
Establish and maintain a library of standard financial reports from OneStream
Build and maintain internal resources for users of OneStream, including overview documentation, training documents and videos (if needed), and knowledge bases of common issues
Evaluate and propose OneStream modules for implementation, drive the selection of vendors and/or consultants, and implement the new systems in coordination with the relevant finance and accounting groups; longer term, evaluate and propose new finance systems/tools.
Engage with IS and the Business Units in the implementation of new finance systems within subsidiary businesses; ensure adequate system processes, controls and links are being established to provide proper consolidation of data from the new system
Engage with IS on systems impacting/feeding financials; influence IS and GBU partners in the implementation to ensure sound controls and accurate financials statements.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required
15+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance and use/ownership of Finance IS systems, preferably specific experience using OneStream
Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels.
Ability to work well in a fast paced, team centered environment.
