JOB SUMMARY:

Customer Engagement and Growth is focused on expanding our customer base to communities currently underrepresented in Powersports. The Manager role will lead learning efforts to better understand and prioritize customer opportunities and lead development and execution of strategy, plans and tactics in partnership with the brands and agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build credibility for Polaris and our brands by developing authentic relationships and a commitment to community efforts

  • Identify and develop relationships with key influencers, organizations, riding clubs and events
  • Develop strategy and activation plan, focused on building visible, consistent and relevant engagement to growth customer audiences

Lead consumer plan development and execution for growth customer audiences
  • Develop consumer insights for each focus audience and Polaris categories and brands
  • Create strategies, plans, tactics and creative to drive awareness and consideration with new targets
  • Develop experimentation efforts to test, learn, iterate and test


Lead experiential marketing efforts
  • Understand events and develop an approach that allows our brands to breakthrough, create consideration and customer engagement
  • Create event activation including display, demos, speaking opportunities, staffing plan and lead collection efforts
  • Partner with brand/event teams to leverage existing infrastructure/resources/best practices and ensure execution is on brand


Lead collaboration with Indian Motorcycle, Polaris Snow, Bennington, Hurricane and Godfrey Boats
  • Active engagement with brand teams to understand business and recommend opportunities to leverage new target best practices within their existing plans (e.g. inclusive casting, messaging)
  • Influence brands/brand agencies (e.g. media) to incorporate new targets as part of their annual plans/LRP. Help them understand and activate with new customer targets - going from experimentation to scaled activation to becoming part of their core brand plans over time
  • Ensure customer growth efforts are aligned with brand strategy and identify synergies


Advance Polaris with growth targets through media relations
  • Lead and support proactive and reactive PR activation - leveraging earned media to drive awareness and interest with growth audiences


Support and Engage the Existing Diverse Rider Community
  • Partner with IFRD and expand activation
  • Lead Empowersports Riding Councils to develop insights and drive meaningful action across Polaris
  • Represent Polaris in speaking engagements and high touch influencer opportunities

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor's degree is required; 8+ years of related experience (Marketing, Advertising, PR, Digital, Powersports, Diversity Efforts).
  • Proven track record of developing a clear strategy, implementing strategy/execution and delivering results
  • Capable of leading through others to deliver executional excellence - agencies, employees and suppliers
  • Self-motivated, proactive, focused high-achiever who consistently delivers results and makes rapid adjustments, as needed
  • Highly collaborative, experienced working across boundaries (partnerships, businesses, functions and levels) to achieve results
  • Excellent written, negotiation, presentation and verbal communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Travel during key events, will include some weekends
