JOB SUMMARY:

Partner globally to execute and achieve Global Sales, Inventory, & Operations Plan (SIOP). Lead development of highly accurate item and category demand forecasts for Global Parts, Garments and Accessories (PG&A). Utilize sales trend analysis from vehicle retail and wholesale, PG&A, and dealers to achieve accuracy of demand plans and inventory purchases. Supervise Purchasing Analyst. Goals are to maximize revenue, profit, customer fill-rate and inventory turnover.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner globally to drive and influence processes related to inventory management. Focus areas are to improve customer fill-rate, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, improve launch in stocks, and to reduce export costs. Develop and lead Purchasing Analyst to achieve category goals and to ensure successful supply chain execution Utilize inventory planning software (Logility) to develop highly accurate demand forecasts for new and ongoing items across complex product lines; utilize exception reporting to quickly react to outliers Leverage sales, marketing, product, vehicle, dealer and historic/market insight to maximize forecast accuracy Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes by developing inventory budget that supports customer and efficiency Lead launch demand and inventory investment process from kick-off through sell-in Demonstrate fiscal discipline and risk-management techniques by proactively identifying, communicating and seizing opportunities to maximize fill-rate, turnover, and new product readiness/in stocks Provide monthly, quarterly and annual Inventory outlooks/forecasts via Open to Buy process Collaborate with multiple functions to lead monthly sales, inventory & operations planning (SIOP) process Clearly communicate demand & inventory recommendations to business partners during monthly SIOP meeting Demonstrate leadership by mentoring new hires and educating peers on best methods to improve performance Apply functional expertise to special project work to drive innovation and creativity to help the business evolve Participate in PG&A and vehicle product development meetings to build knowledge of product transitions and influence SKU rationalization process Identify and lead excess and obsolescence process; proactively identify sunset items and collaborate with cross functional teams to minimize the cost of nonproductive inventory Partner with key stakeholders to develop and apply best practices. Support efforts to develop Long Range Plans (LRP), assessing opportunities to grow sales and/or profitability. Influence the current business strategies through thought leadership and analysis

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor's degree

5 years + Merchandise/Demand Planning experience. MBA is a plus.

1+ years of people management experience (i.e. intern management, mentorship, formal direct reports, etc.)

Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup), analytical (ad hoc), and PowerPoint skills; demonstrated understanding of how "tell the story" with data.

Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and global business units to bring product strategies to life, gain alignment on investments Global experience driving innovative strategies and developing business plans to drive long term growth, productivity, customer availability .

Natural leader, poised under pressure, able to re-prioritize as needed, results oriented, creative problem solver, strong critical thinker; connect the dots between business strategy and area of influence, like to win.

Ability to unlock opportunities from ideation through completion by assessing root cause, recommending corrective actions, gaining buy in and executing improvement activities to drive increased performance
