POSITION SUMMARY:

The Polaris Data & Analytics Organization works with business leaders and analysts across the enterprise to drive optimized strategy using data. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for ad hoc analytics, report and dashboard development, supporting analytics platforms, and enabling the broader organization to leverage analytical solutions in their standard work and business processes. You are an advocate for analytics adoption, educator, evangelist for the Data & Analytics Org, creative problem solver, and a key strategic partner to the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner closely with business partners to Develop self-service reports and dashboards in Alteryx and Power BI
  • Perform business-outcome-driven ad hoc analytics to demonstrate the value of analytics
  • Drive waste out of the company by automating manual non-value-add data copy/paste activities
  • Develop and lead training programs for key self-service analytics tools: Alteryx, Power BI, Snowflake, etc.
  • Provide support to business partners and assist in troubleshooting issues with self-service tools
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for the Data Science team to apply AI to the business
  • Partner with Data Engineers to identify new data sources for ingestion into Snowflake to drive incremental business value
  • Provides leadership and consultation across peer group and team within workstream
  • Execute technical innovations and new improved technologies and processes
  • Formally and informally mentor and coach others in the data analytics space
  • Grow and evolve skillsets on the team as the company matures


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in technology, business or similar field required
  • 5+ years of work experience in an analytics-focused role including data preparation, visualization, and processing from a diverse set of data sources
  • 3+ years of experience with data mining/predictive modeling tools: SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake, Azure, AWS
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
  • Preferred knowledge of Powersports Business with a focus on Sales/Marketing or related industry
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Naturally curious and creative problem solver with experience working in an agile environment
  • Ability to achieve results autonomously- manage work efficiently and effectively
  • Proven ability to independently determine and develop solutions on complex work
  • Experience in driving technical innovation and integration of best practice standards
  • Preferred experience with statistical methods and predictive/analytical modeling techniques and practices
  • Interest in pursuing data science or advanced analytics as career advances
