Position Title:

Perform setup, maintenance, part updates, and teardown of off-road vehicles for the GENERAL product development team. Support the Development Technicians and perform entry- level technician work on occasion.


  • Prepares vehicles & components for testing and engineering functions.

  • Perform welding and fabrication to accommodate design updates.

  • Support Development Technicians.

  • Perform entry-level Development Technician work on occasion; fabrication of prototype components, conducting basic driving tests, and collecting field data.

  • Preparation and cleanup of vehicles for group rides and events.

  • Maintain organization of vehicle inventory.

  • Prepare vehicles for sale or scrap.

  • Must be willing to accept assignment changes and maintain a positive attitude toward change.

  • Travel is required periodically.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and meet OSHA requirements.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Performs other assignments as requested.


  • High school diploma required

  • 2-Year degree in a technical field preferred

  • Basic computer skills required

  • Valid drivers license required

  • Must be capable of operating ORVs in extreme conditions

  • Must be capable of driving trucks with trailers (

  • Must be capable of operating forklifts

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Powersports experience preferred

  • Data acquisition & diagnostic tool experience preferred

  • Fabrication & welding preferred

  • Minimum 3 years mechanic or technician experience preferred
