JOB SUMMARY:

Our Polaris Bilingual French-speaking Regional Technical Service Representative is responsible for delivering world class advanced technical product support to our Polaris dealer partners, ultimately ensuring world class vehicle service experiences for our dealers and customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team and Department Leadership

  • Provide daily technical product assistance via phone and case management for our dealership technicians as it relates to vehicle systems and component diagnostics and repair procedures.
  • Coordinates one-on-one virtual or on-site time with select dealership technical staff to supplement and enhance product diagnostic capabilities.
  • Supplements our diagnostic and technical training curriculum with personalized dealership technical development plans.
  • Continually assess dealership technical capabilities through interactions. Responsible for ongoing diagnostic technical training and feedback regarding dealership best practices to help guide dealers in their day-to-day diagnostic and repair operations.
  • Using case filters, advanced analytics, and expertise, identify emerging regional field trends and present findings to internal content development teams and provide recommendations for enhanced dealer diagnostic reference materials.
  • Represent the voice of the dealer network as it relates to product quality and diagnostic needs.
  • Serve as the liaison between dealership service staff, Service Engineers, Polaris Engineering and Quality to identify root cause and develop service procedures for emerging field issues.
  • Proactive regional channel management as it relates to customer experience by evaluating vehicle down time, incident response (IR) cycles, dealer response time and overall dealership diagnostic and technical service capabilities.Ability to think critically about options and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Assist dealership service technicians by conducting on-site product diagnostic and repair assistance for the most challenging and complex technical needs.
  • Facilitate and manage corporate escalations regarding vehicle performance issues and failures.


Process Improvement & Quality Focus
  • Identify, develop and deliver immediate and long-term individual dealership technician development plans to elevate technician diagnostic capabilities, ultimately improving technician efficiency, and reducing customer product downtime.
  • Identify and co-develop standardized reference materials and procedures to proactively manage regional product technical trends.
  • Serve as a regional technical liaison to other areas of the business as it relates to voice of dealer and region regarding technical product trends.
  • Monitor trends in dealer feedback and remove barriers for teams to deliver world class service.


Define Department Direction/Lead Change
  • Identify and co-develop dealership change management plans for adoption of new vehicle diagnostic systems, tools and resources that improve dealership technical ability and efficiency.
  • Co-develop and execute development plans as it relates to strategic initiatives for on-vehicle and connected technical innovation.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Candidates must be bilingual with written and verbal fluency in both English and French.
  • Minimum of 4+ years in a vehicle technical service support role. Auto, Powersports, Ag, Heavy Equipment, Marine dealership technician experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Science, or related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong desire to deliver industry-leading vehicle technical service and build strong dealer relationships.
  • Highly motivated, detail- oriented, self-starter with ability to work under pressure individually or in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to methodically evaluate complex problems and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and French). Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas.
  • Strong track record of managing difficult conversations under contentious circumstances.
  • Ability to adapt and work well under pressure and ability to manage confidential information required.
  • Proficient PC skills - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficient in AS400, Oracle, Showcase & CRM.


WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Fast-paced office environment.
  • Open to remote-based candidates.
  • Successful candidates will be capable and comfortable providing diagnostic support via phone and case support.
  • Ability to engage in sensitive, complex vehicle technical challenges on-site at dealerships with dealership technicians and product owners.
  • Approximately 80% of your time will be spent providing support from your office. Approximately 20% of your time will be spent on-site at dealerships providing in-person, hands-on assistance.
  • Flexibility for short notice travel ~20% as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
